I was wondering the same thing about spoa but still stock springs. I know spoa wiil clear bigger tires and improve flex but still be limited by the short front springs. I would think you would have to at least do a RUF kit with the spoa to get a better ride, but I don't know.

I've pretty much decided to stay spua, mainly because I don't weld, don't have friends that weld and it would add to the cost to have a shop do it, although new shock mounts would still have to be welded to take advantage of any extra travel. Also I think to actually improve the ride (we'll see what people with experiance have to say) I would have to do a RUF or some other spring swap, so more $.

Tacking the spring pads to your axles is pretty easy for someone who is expierenced with welding and won't cost you much. Make sure if you chose to do this that you get someone who knows their stuff about welding. Last thing you want is to get someone who kinda does welding tackle this and blow through the axle tube.

Rocky Road makes a bolt on kit as you originally inquired about. Myself if I were going to be bouncing around off road I would question how strong these are. I would hate to have the spring packs shift on the perches or come loose. The other note to be said is that I have read many bad customer service reports about them. Enough to make me shy away from them.

Here is their link to the kit:

One of the goals I have for my ride is to remain Spua if possible. Part of that reason is the steering issues. Although a full High Steer  (OTT - over the top)  makes perfect sense if you go Spoa.) Currently with the RUFF setup and a 3" drop pitman I don't have any issues or need to change from the OEM geometry.

At any rate if you want more details of the lift I have send me a PM and I will reply. Likewise, I will try to walk you through the seat changes that both I made and the die grinder method. (I really like that 1!)
