I wasn't looking at the engine in the pic, they didn't put any 1.3L engines
in Track/Kicks since early 88/89 and those are rare with the 5.62 gears, I
have seen 1 with a 1.3, and my brother and I got the gears, they now live
in his 4 door

In a 2001 GEO? I don't think so

Don't mind me - you're entitled to your opinion - and if I'm right, you're making the same mistake I did when I read the original post - a 2001 Geo LSI could have either a J20A 2.0 or a G16B 1.6 - when I saw the pictures I recognized my mistake - they show a transverse mounted engine - so that is NOT a Tracker, it's a Metro either a sedan or a hatch.

There's a very easy way to find out - the pictures show a transverse mounted engine - with the transmission on the left side of the car, look at the block  just above the transmission and see if there is a raised casting that says G13 - or - the engine number can be found low down on the front of the block alongside the bellhousing - see what the first few characters say - my guess is G13...

I see the error of my ways now, LSI is not a model, it's a trim package and GEO is not a model, it's the badging or brand
if you will.  Zuki-Girl we will beat you later  >:D

You have a GEO Metro LSI, not a Tracker LSI which is also out there, I didn't get the post correct
until after I re-read your post

Metro LSI is most commonly a 1.3L 4 cylinder or a 1.0L 3 cylinder

Yup - same mistake I made - I assumed that 2001 Geo LSI meant a Tracker, but as soon as I saw the picture, I recognized it as a transverse mounted engine and realised it was a Metro.  From the valve cover design and coil packs, I know it's a four cylinder engine, as well as which of the four cylinder engines (there were two used in the Metro) - in this case the later model, which is the 16V.

Back to the original problem - it's got compression, so the timing belt is probably good - 165psi is a tad on the low side, but not excessively so, especially since it would have been taken on a cold engine - the problem is going to be either no fuel or no fire - I would check for spark - remove a plug #1 is the easiest and hold it against the head and crank.
