Wow what the hell? Lol that seat is nothing like the seat I got or the tutorials, but I think I see what is going on here.... Can you take a pic of the seat of the side? Preferably with the plastic molding removed? The only part you will be keeping off of the neon seat is the bracket that is keeping the seat together, once you remove that bracket you then weld or bolt on that bracket to the sammi rails

and the album is the same.
And I would get the one pair of seats that Don't work.
If I take the frame off and fit it to the samurai rails then the frame won't fit the seat..?

Hmm, so that entire metal part is what is holding the seat together I assume.. I dont understand why the seat is so drastically different, I believe I got seats out of a 4dr 03 or 02?

Are you sure of the year neon you got the seats out of? If that metal part is what is holding the seat back and the bottom together then all you would have to do is test fit the sammi rails to the metal bracket on the neon seat and figure out a way to bolt them together but honestly that seat you have is soo drastically different I would probably just take those seats back and get the right ones to begin with. I dont want to tell you to do something and fuck your stuff up.

You beat me too it lol, yea get the right seats then the links I posted earlier should def help you out cause this is a pretty straightforward swap, and the seats you got now would be a pain to make work.

Austin,

Why couldn't you use these seats? It appears to me that all of the stuff on the left side (as we see it) needs to be removed to get to a flat surface. It appears to all be metal but I can't tell it's function from the picture. It would seem that once all of this is removed then a piece of flat stock could be inserted on that side in replacement.  It could be bolted in or tack welded would be better.

Then if need be you could run flat stock from side to side in order to give you something to attach the frame rails to.

If you like these seats I wouldn't give up on them. Make them work and fab something up to install them.

Sorry they aren't a direct bolt in but that doesn't mean they won't go in. Actually. I thought I read somewhere once that the only direct bolt in seats for a Samurai were Samurai seats. Anything else would need slight to more fabrication for installation.

Don't settle for anything less than what you really want otherwise in the end you will be disappointed... J/M $.02

I did not change my seats but I had to relocate them, 6 inch set back. Don't know if this will work for you or not.

I used two 1/12 angle iron and bolted them to the old seat location, then re drilled for the seat rails. If need be you could also bolt on a couple more across those for a wider or narrower seat.
