« on: September 24, 2007, 11:17:14 AM »
hey my 94 4 door kicker has a little engine work but still lacks on high way hill climbs.  5th  gear wont do it.  5:12 are my gears.  got long tube header, high flow cat spin tech exhaust, cold air intake, and iridium spark plugs, EGR is out not sure if that causes power loss.
will i notice a difference if i get the msd ignition and coil??  plz reply i am running 30's thanxs

Probably not.  My experience with high performance coils, they only make a real difference in high compression engines.  They need the extra heat to get a good burn.  But it might make a difference if your coil is bad. ;)

I feel that way about my 4dr, but maybe not as bad.  I am running 235's.

I was admiring this setup you have, and was thinking of doing this before I go with lifting and bigger tires.  Now I'm thinking maybe its not worth the money.  Did you notice any diffrence with the new exaust system?

According to Kerry Wittig a multi spark performance ignition (he used Jacobs) was the best mod he did on his truck. He called me when he installed it raving about the performance gains. I had already gotten a single spark Jacobs which I am still running and I saw performance gains from that mod as well.  Dave
