Well i ordered some 31x9.50 swamper tsl's a couple of weeks ago with the intent to put them on stock wheels.  i also purchased the sky coil spacer/ body lift combo and installed that last weekend.  After i put the body lift on i ran into troubles with the gear shifter and transmission shifter as far as the center console was concerned, so i removed that.  After all of my hassles, i really didnt want to have to extend my brake lines for the coil spacers so i just busted out the hammer and slightly massaged the firewall to clear these new tires on.  Now that its all together, i am very happy with the way it turned out.  building bumpers is next on the list after i sell the coil spacers.

So how much total lift did you end up with?  Did you have to do any fender cutting?

just the 2'' body lift.  i didnt cut the fenders at all, just hammered the firewall a little bit and slightly trimmed the front bumper

You don't have to extend the brake lines for a coil spacer kit... You ran into more brake line interferrence doing the body lift than you'd have for the coil spacers. Stick those in there! Compared to the body lift, a coil spacer lift is much easier to install(IMHO).

Looks like your gonna be hitting the fenders quite a bit when you flex that thing out. Id put the coil spacers in!

Here's what the same tires you are running look like on a 90 Tracker with 1.5" coil spacers and a 2" body lift(and 15x8" rims)




Put the spacers on! Trust me, you wont regret it!

yea my tires are on 15x7 rims, but they dont rub as much as you guys think.  I've been out wheeling a couple times already (these tires are awsome) and have only trace signs of rubbing on the firewall.  As far as the coil spacers are concerned, should i unhook the brake lines while i fit the coil spacers in there?  the lines are already tight at full droop.

Just unhook them from the strut. Thats what I did and its fine.

You don't need to disconnect them at all, just pull the spring clip that attaches them to the strut and all will be well. I have been running both of mine with the brake line not attached to the strut for a long time now with no problems at all.

Slap those spacers in there. If the rear shocks come off easily, the back will only take you MAYBE 1/2 hour TOTAL to put them in. Up front might take a little longer, especially if you're doing the strut mount flip at the same time, but it's not that bad at all and you'll love the extra height!

these are 31x11.5's on 7" jeep cj wheels. mine rub at full flex in the rear and i had to hammer the seam on the fire wall. i think oyurs should rub a fair bit.

Your tires are 2" wider than his though Jayn, that makes a huge difference on your scrub

i was more thinking about the rear, mine flexes not to bad and it just looks like his would rub the rear inner fenders.
