Good place to put a stereo in a Sami?
« on: April 17, 2005, 01:37:26 PM »
I would like ideas of where to put a stereo in our Sami?????????
I have seen some that put them in the glove box which probably be what we will do. I forgot to tell everyone there is no back seat so we can't hide it under there.

1987 stock for now Sami for my 15 year old's first vehicle.
We Wheel with a 1994 Ford Explorer 5" Superlift, 35" tires, locked in the rear, custom tire rack, sliders, misc. stuff.

Hey I don't know if you have the stock tray under the glove box but that is where I mounted mine with a universial stereo mounting sleeve Metra 99-9000.

Seems to work pretty good.
Course the stereo has a security device in it to where if it gets stolen it doesn't work.
Eclipse deck.

It's not a Jeep thing, it's not a Suzuki thing, or a Chevy,Ford thing.
It's a wheeling thing now get out and do it!

I'm still trying to find a cheap marine cover for mine to keep the dust out of my cd player.

You could mount it INSIDE a Tuffy Samurai Security Console:
