My first Tin Top project
« on: June 14, 2012, 03:42:11 PM »
Well here are pics of my first Tin Top project. It's my first Zuki ever and I wanted a solid daily driver that I can take off road and have some outdoor fun. I paid $2500 it has a 16 valve 94' Tracker motor and I can do 70 mph no problem on the highway. Original 5 speed manual tranny and a 4" lift. I'll post pics as I update it for those that are interested.

Arrival day! Ah what to start first...

Oh I know... Pressure wash the nasty out of the inside!

Ok now paint dash black, bed liner the floor and through some seat covers on!

Ripped off the front bumper (new ones being made) under coated the frame and slapped on new wheels and tires!

More to come...

It's a work in progress. I'll post some more pics of the interior with the new additions as soon as I can. Thanks for the compliments it's been so much fun putting this Zuki back together.

I think you got a good deal at $2500...

Where did you get your rubber diamond tread mat from?  I was planning on doing something like that to my Samurai...
My rig is a fusion of Jazz and Funk; I call it JUNK

Here are some more pics of the interior.

Installed the steering wheel and black diamond plate door panels.

Got the radio installed

Installed the rear panels with speakers as well as carpet

Now here I think was one of the coolest mods I did. I needed storage inside the Zuki and I wanted to keep a classic military vehicle feel so I took a 120mm ammo box and mounted it to the door. Now I can store all kinds of stuff and keep it out of the way.

Before

After

Here's a pic of a little Off Road'in testing The 4 wheel drive!

I will be starting the bodywork soon so I'll post pics as it comes together.
