brake lines

Like everyone else i plan to lift my samy on a budget. im going to spoa it but need brake lines. I know a rear brake line from a mid 70s ford p/u is a common line used for jeeps on the rear and was going to do the same thing on the rear of mine. my problem is the fronts. I came accross a pair of nissan truck front lines for free which look like they will work and are a few inches longer than the stock samy ones. wasnt sure if that would be enough of if yall knew of anything else that would work. im only going to buy the "extended" brake lines if i absolutly have to. thanks for any help and points in the right direction.
Thanks!

I've done a few by just cutting and dropping the mounting bracket. You can drop it about 3" and leave the stock lines there. It doens't look as good as the extended lines but will work. Just make sure that the lines are secured and watch for branches. The hard line will be exposed.

I only had a problem once and it was scary. I came up a hill and when I hit the top the front came up. When I landed I broke the brake line on one side...turned the zuke around and went back down. When I hit the top of the hill I hit the pedal and found that there was no pressure. The problem wasn't the new mounting point.....it was a kinked line that I had forgotten about. you can do the rear the same way.

An alternative is to get a set of front brake lines from a Geo Tracker/Suzuki Sidekick.  They are quite a bit longer then the stock ones, they even come with a bracket you can bolt onto the upper areas.  Pretty much a bolt on replacement with SPOA setup.

I used a zip tie on the spring mount to help keep it from rubbing on the tire.  A fellow club member used a spring instead to keep it pulled tight against the frame.
