The popsicle got new shoes
« on: May 05, 2004, 03:32:34 AM »
Yep, the popsicle has some new shoes. 35x15x14.5 Boggers. Guess I have no choice but to get moving and put the Yota axles under there now ;)

I lost a little flex and gained a little rub. Bumpstops and sawzall are in order ;D

Oh, this is what an 1.6 8v, 35's and a 6:1 T-case will get you in 4th gear ;D  72.6 MPH with a little more pedal ;)

NC,
Looks great!!! Did you try them out this weekend? Will you be able to get your full flex back when you do some trimming, or will you have to bump stop it a bunch?

Gonna try a combination of things. Heck, at this point a 1 inch body lift is even a consideration. I got some HUGE rubber bumpstops today though. Have to see how well they work out.

Art:

72.6 mph with pedal to spare :o

My 1.3 might (with a tailwind) hit 55 mph. Looks like its time for another upgrade $$$$$ :P

Has RRO come up with any help/products for the axel swap?

That doesn't look too safe... one hand holding the GPS and the other holding the camera, while steering that rig going 72.6mph with only a couple fingers... :o

:) Excellent rig... I'm still curious as to what you're doing with those tires...

Yep, the 8valve with efi is much better than the 1.3. I still want a 16 valve though ;)

As for RRO developing new stuff for the swap... The answer is yes. Go to their website, they are now selling the toyote bracketry for the coils. That's why I'm got the tires, I knew the parts were in development about 2 months ago. ;D

Um, do you drive your other cars with just a few fingers on the wheel on the highway? This things is a smooth sailer!! It rides really nice at that speed considering what it is riding on.

What do you mean by "I'm still curious as to what you're doing with those tires"

Hehe, I just assumed that it doesn't have PS (like mine :)) and with those huge meats it seems like the ride would be a little jouncy.

I was asking about your old tires... did ya trade them in, or were you going to sell them?

A few people have asked me to post a 33 pic and a 35 pic so that they can see the difference. Here ya go. Sorry that both aren't orange! Yes, the orange pic shows a sagging rear  but new springs were shipped today! ;D
