Help Quick! Rear Shock Removal
« on: January 27, 2007, 06:52:33 PM »
hey all,

I'm replacing my rear shocks and I can't get the top bolt off of the shock.  How do you get this off.  It didn't look like it would be that stubborn but it is.  I'm using my phuenmatic wrenches and it is just not coming off.  Do you cut it off? Thanks
Aaron

Use a Vise grip to hold the TIP of the threads (there is a Square spot)
and use an ENDWRENCH.
is that quick enough? ;D

You gotta love it ... advice, picture with an arrow ( place wrench here ) and no disparaging put down remarks. This is what makes this site so awsome.  Eric, you should charge for this stuff.

I know you got it done, but for those people that live more north and have rusty parts, a hack-saw or angle grinder works nice too ;) Just cut right above the bushing washer and into the nut.
