Hello Friends -

THERE WERE FRIENDS WHO SUGGESTED THAT THERE WAS NO FUEL PUMP INERTIA / SHUT OFF SWITCH IN THE 1993 SUZUKI SIDEKICK

AND THERE WERE OTHER FRIENDS WHO SUGGESTED THAT THERE WAS ONE ...

VERDICT: MINE HAS A WIRE HANGING LOOSE BECAUSE ONE OF THE PLASTIC CONNECTORS WAS SHATTERED BY THE IMPACT OF THE SHOCK. THE WIRE IS THE ONE THAT PROVIDES POWER TO THE FUEL PUMP, ONCE I PUT IT BACK IT STARTED RIGHT AWAY

SO THERE IS NO FUEL PUMP INERTIA / SHUT OFF SWITCH IN THE 1993 SUZUKI SIDEKICK

I HOPE THIS WILL BE HELPFUL TO OTHER FELLOWS OUTHERE

DRIVE SAFE
CHEERS!

I have a 1993 sidekick and I was hit in the back left corner by a semi and he went ahead and didnt stop...means he didnt slow down when he hit me
right after that the engine cut ...and I pulled sideway and I twoed the car home
I am trying to find the fuel pump inertia or shut off switch to get the gas flowing again... I looked under the dash and the passenger side under the seats...could not find antyhing

any idea please help...
Thanks a lot folks your help is appreciated !

i wrote you an e-mail before i read this. if you were hit in the back, i'm gonna say that it broke the connection to the fuel pump you might have to drop the gas tank to figure it out.
good luck

Oh thanks buddy !

I think this I am going to go I need to check the tank, because the spot that was hit is too high affect anything (just so you have an idea the left blinker is still perfect but just above it is all demolished)

I am looking at the CHILTON's Samurai/Sidekick/Trakcer Repair Guide 1986-98 and I see a little black box that looks just like what I found online to be the Inertia box but here in the book they didn't give any name they are only naming other stuff on the tank like the pump etc

some fellows told me that the inertia doesnt even exist on this model ....so I need to get the tank down to see that thing on it

Thank you all for your help and emails , I will keep you posted on what I find this way we can correct the ideas that are wrong

Thank ya'll

Hey Jason
Thanks for your response you are right
the wire that provides fuel pump with power was hanging loose after the crash shattered a plastic connector

once I put the wire  back into place she started right away
Thanks Jason
