efi to carb swap
« on: June 15, 2008, 12:57:41 PM »
probably not alot of people do this swap but i want to swap my 91 1.6 8v to a samurai carb setup the reason is that i have no cash and want to get it back on the road as cheap as possible, i parked it because my ecm is shot and cant realy afford a new one, what is all involved in a swap like this i heard that the 1.3 intake bolts up so would i just have to regulate my fuel pressure down or is it not goin to be as easy as i expect it will be

Your better of just getting a computer! By the time you get a carb and intake and put it on. Prob roughly the same amount of cash and alot less hassle with the ecm. Just unplug and plud back in. Plus the driveability factor!
