« on: August 18, 2008, 07:36:47 PM »
Hello everyone,
I recently purchase an 87 Sami, and am rebuilding the engine.  I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what type of carb i should run and if you a running a specific type how do you like it.

Im running a toyota corolla carb seems to work will. Just took it on a run and worked assume. It comes on 74-78 1200 corollas. Slight mods to spacer plate because primary hole slightly larger.Pretty much bolt on hook up all vac. lines idle solenoid. Looks aimost stock.Even pasted smog with it.Good luck with your choice.

A lot of people have been liking side draft carbs.

theres a couple vendors producing them now, not smog legal.  But i have heard that it is quite the boost in power, and no more stalling out at steep angles.
