I understand why my mp "Canadian"gallon shocked everybody even when I convert to US I'm still doing real well.
I know raising the vehicles will hurts the aerodynamics and will hurt gas mileage...do you think the rest is the larger diameter tires making the little engine work harder?
Any thoughts............
Zag
More rolling resistance, more unsprung weight, less aerodynamic do to lift, more vehicle weight do to lift, skid plates, rollbars.
I am also wondering if everyone is taking into account that the taller tires give you less revs per mile.
Also, without gear correction, the larger tires are making the RPM lower. Basiclly "lugging" the engine. So we are not in the meat of the torque curve anymore.
All that being said, my uncorrected mileage is about 26.
