87 samurai emissions
« on: January 28, 2007, 03:37:23 PM »
I have a 87 Samurai, converting to off-road use only.  Has anyone done away with the computer and vacuum modules for the carb??  If yes, which vacuum inlets were left attached to the carb and the distributor advance??  Any help is appreciated!!!

Have you ever considered just putting a Weber on?

Yes you are going to keep the computer. Wont run very good with out it. You can strip most of the vaccum lines EGR idle up solenoid. Follow vac line from dist to switching valve and elimate it. Just run it from carb to dist. Computer runs vent bowl beather and secondary on carb. Or put the weber on it. Have made mods on mine no problems going up or down hills. Good luck with your disioun.
