If you are trying to get the passenger side stub shaft in;
1- make sure the C-clip at the end of the splines is not oveled to bad. If it is sticking out to far it will snag an the splines if the side gears.
2- start both ends into the housing/hub and use a floor jack to raise the control arm as high as you can with out lifting the vehicle off of your floor jacks.
3- make sure that the CV cup is square to the housing when you are trying to insert it
4- It also helps out to leave the outter C-clip off untill after you get the inner snapped into place.
5- if the c-clip is good and everything is ligned up good you should be able to push it in by hand or pop it into place with a slight tap from a rubber mallot.

Make sure your aren't trying to pound
a 26 spline shaft into a 22 spline hole

lol thanks wild, Yeah I upgraded all my front running gear to the 26 spline stuff. I can feel it go ito the housing right up to the snap ring, and then it wont go any further. :-/

Dude, I just thought of something. Did you do the Sami Carrier and ring to put your locker in the front? If so was the Carrier machined to accept the Kick shaft? A STOCK Sami carrier will not work unless it is machined to accept the stub shaft. I hope this is not it because you will have to tear it all back apart again.

He locked the rear end. His CV blew out last time he was wheeling and he decided to do the locker and cv at teh same time.

Then make sure the snap ring is not
too big around, it should be a fairly
easy fit, if a BFH isn't making it go in
there is a problem somewhare, mine
pop in with a jiggle and a push with
my hand

I'm goign to pop the ring off and try to see if it will go in without it. If it doesn't then i know there is a problem.
