Can't get a break!!

Isn't this how it goes?  You get one thing fixed and another just comes up.
I will not give up...
I will not give up...
I will not give up...

I went to SC for a few days to get away from work, and left the puddlejumper with the guy who lets me use his shop to do the brakes and see why my motor runs like shit.

I get back and my brakes are now fixed, but I have a cylinder with no compression, and it almost certainly seems to be a burned valve, as there is sufficient valve lash on the cylinder.  Whatever it is, I am going to have to pull the head now.  At least these little motors are easy to work on.

I haven't decided whether to re work the head or get another one, if the old one is good anyhow.

Love the Sidekick though, really.  Like a 4wd VWbug, it has just grown on me.
My other car is a Freightliner.

my friends miata had a valve burn through, he pulled the head, changed the valve, and threw it all back together with nothing more than a glance at the other valves... whole thing cost him around 200 including gaskets

it all depends what u wanna spend money on

The Things were great, I used to have one that someone painted black...forget ever thinking about keeping warm in it, but it was a lot of fun.  You would be out riding around...Hey, what is that Thing?  A thing. Yeah, but what is it?  Uhhh...A volkswagon thing?  Fine don't answer then.

At one point I found a stock reman head on eBay for 250 bucks or something, might be worth checking out, be all new that way.
