Has anyone on hear done a SAS with a Dana, Im needing a little help with the technical stuff. I was wondering what year, make, and model you used for brakelines and steering i have heard for the pitman arm to use one off of a wagoneer( not sure if i am right). Just kind of wanted to get an idea of how big of a hassle this is gonna be.

I am going to be using one from a scout or older CJ, with leaf springs and on top of the axle.

the scout one will be the D44 to use. the jeep axle will be too narrow and if it comes from a CJ will be a dana 30. if its from a fullsize jeep it will be a 6 bolt wheel pattern.

I looked at doing the scout swap but the axle knuckles need to be cut and turned as they are designed for 0 caster and a sprung under design.

After looking at my options I decided that swapping front and back for toyota axles is the best. cross over steerring is a bolt on affair as apposed to having knuckles milled and drilled with the Dana 44.

How crutial is the caster will it throw the handleing way out of wack? How how hard is change the caster to what it is suposed to be? and sorry to ask so many questions but why does it matter if i am fabing it into the tracker cant i make it what i want. I dont know all of the technicals for the swap but i am gonna get a lot of help from a few of my wheeling buddies and prolly learn alot.
