I SO need some help here. I have 2, 4dr, 16V, 91 Kicks, with busted cargo area door latches AND busted handles on the inside passenger doors. I have replaced the passenger handles with OEM twice and they just snap after a few months. Cheap plasic. I need something better and am sure I have seen it but can't find it now. The Cargo latche won't lock on 1 and won't release on the other. I can't even find parts for them. P E A S E  H E L P !!! 

Sounds to me like you really need to lube the door latch mechanisms! It takes hardly any pressure on the handle to unlatch the doors unless the latch mechanism is sticky or rusty...

 The best solution would be to replace the latches with new and then put new handles throughout and make sure the doors are adjusted properly. Properly adjusted and lubed new latches and handles should last many years of trouble free service.
