Hey guys,

I know 235/75/15s are the norm for stock trackers, but what about if you were totally okay with cutting a lot of the body?

Im still on stock wheels, so im assuming anything wider than that would end up with rubbing frame on full steering angles, but if i get a bigger backspaced wheel, (how much more i should get... umm.. help?)
but how big a tire can i run without rub issues as long as im okay with cutting body panels?

Depends on where you live I suppose. You can't trim too much around here in the snowy northeastern as you need to have the wheel's covered, and require an inner fender guard.

I have seen 31's on a stock 94 Tracker, the body trimming actually didn't look to bad, would go ALOT of places because of the LOW COG. However it looked and performed much better with just a 2'' lift (jeff's)

Could you possibly use something similar to bed liner spray to cover the metal if you have to cut the plastic liner to keep water out?

im in michigan, and since we have no inspection, i should be okay unless its totally out there.
i can easily fabricate some fenders if needed, and can weld in patch panels if i need to as well.

also, since im not gonna go outrageous places, more of a look rather than total offroadiness, so wide is better for me.
i am eyeing some 15x10" wheels with a 3.75" backspace... will that be a good backspacing for a stock height tracker? and how wide of a tire (even at expense of a shorter tire up to a point) can i get on there without rubbing frame?

always the possibilty of rally crossing if it seems stable enough too.
