Anyone know wut gears an 89 kick comes with from factory its automatic and its an LX series ?

Here is what Hawk told me about kick gears. All 4 door 4wd after 90(i think 90) came with 5.12's. we diddnt get into the 2 door stuff sorry.

Not if it's got an auto.. If it's a 3 speed auto it probably has 4.62's. A 4 speed auto (overdrive) will probably have 5.12's.

This goes for 2 doors too.

But then in california you get gears like 4.30's.

89 was a screwed up year though, being the first year out the door. Do you have the 1.6L 8 valve or a 1.3L?

I'm thinking with an auto you've got 4.62's.

ive got the 1.6l 8 valve with 4.62 i should be low  enough to turn a 33 12.5 riht like the old man has 4.11  in his jeep and it just ridiculusly low but im on a 30 9.5 and im not that low even in 4-low so im assuming  his t-case has a lower gear then mine
