I went down and looked at this:
1988 Suzuki : Samurai
Item number: 230139659416
I guess you can cut and paste it. It was swiped by a bus into a van. Tach says 65k.
?? Here is what I can see is good.
Transfer case dry, mechanical all known.
Transmission seems dry except engine oil on it, no stinky gear lube smell, mechanical unknown.
Engine damp around the valve cover, not sure on oilpan, (forgot to look), and the typical distributor o-ring leak, condition unknown.
Front axle seals seam to leak at the ends where the rotor shield connects.
Rear axle housing assembly seams to be intact but axles may be bent.
Won't jump because it's sat for a year and battery is totally dead. I had to go.
One of the bumper mounted turnsignal assemblys seems o.k.
No back seat.
Top is tweaked and has cracks about a few inches long at a couple points, back window is gone but the front part looks o.k., paint faded and side glass o.k. repairable possibly except for the rear window being gone.
Drivers door is good as is the hood and drivers front fender.
Some new exhaust added to the back after the cat + the cats got a fair $50.00 recycle value.
Tach guage with bezel, ignition and door locks, A.C looks like it might have been working, gear shift knobs look real nice compared to mine, and there are quite a few odds and ends that might be salable.
Extras include a bad block with crank, etc. A flywheel, an extra intake with carb and vacuum hoses.
I think that's it.
Is this even worth the starting bid of $399.00? I could have all the good parts off in about 4 hours but is it really worth it?
