My friend got a sidekick sitting at her driveway for 5 years and she's willing to sell/give it to me. It's a 94 2-door convertible 4x4. Base model I think because there is no tach?

Anyway, it comes with an alarm that maybe factory. It has "Suzuki Security" stickers on the windows and on the alarm brain itself there is a suzuki sticker. The wiring doesn't look factory though and the alarm brain is just zip-tied behind the glove box. Since the car was sitting so long the battery was drained and when I try to jump-start it (not knowing there's an alarm!) the alarm went off. There is no valet switch (like in the JLX) just a red blinking LED. She said there's no remote for the car so I can't disarm it. The alarm is preventing the car from starting.

I've read that I can simply remove the whole alarm unit by just removing the glove box and unplugging all the connectors from it. Do I have to connect any wires together afterwards?

If it can't be removed, how do I disarm this alarm so I can start it? Is there some procedure that I can follow to disable the alarm? Or put it in valet mode?

mine has a switch left of the steering wheel.  turn it off.  I bought it from someone that lost the remotes.  Have you tried to buy some new ones?

My buddy has an alarm on his 88 samurai, when he bought the samurai it had this mysterious little box on it, one under the hood and one behind the glove box.  Its call the Ungo box...we just ripped all the wiring out of it and it was more a problem.

Check to see if there is a seperate fuse away from the main fuse panel under the drivers side of the dash. My 96 has the factory alam as well and all I did was pull the fuse from behind the LED that is in the dash on the left of the steering collumn.

on one of my four doors I just removed everything and re spliced the wires that were cut by the steering column and it started right up.

The alarms were dealer installed. I have removed many of them in my day. They were made by Code Alarm so getting remotes would probably cost the same as a whole new alarm. As fuelish said just unplug the alarm and follow the wires back to the steering column and splice together the starter wire that was cut for the starter kill.

No, none that I have seen.
It is easy to wire in a remote door lock/unlock (seperate remote though).  I have did it to mine, took about 10 minutes.  I bought my unit off ebay for about $25.

I just bought some e-locks and am hoping to wire them into my aftermarket alarm system. 

I have put a few alarms in and my vote is the same as above.  Uninstall and resplice whatever the passive immobilizer cuts. .

Thanks for all the help.  I talked to a local alarm installer and found out an easy way to prevent the alarm on arming upon jumper cable connection.

You need to have the key at the "ON' position before connecting the  jumper cables/battery.  This would prevent the alarm from arming.  Also found out that Suzuki uses "Code Alarm" for dealer installed alarms.
