Rear wheelwells, floorpans
« on: February 10, 2007, 12:03:12 AM »
I have exausted ALL body panel, and salvage yards I can find.  I have an 86' rust bucket with a new 1.3, and great drive train.  I bought an 88.5 with a knock and rotten suspension, but a nice body......so I thought.....seems the rear wheel houseing has rusted a bit more than I can repair with a piece of sheet metal. (im new at this "look good" fab. stuff, usually, if it needs to stay or work, no problem......just fab, weld, paint and COVER...)  Any source to find wheel wells, or even the rear floorpan?

Not sure about the rear panels or wheel wells, but I saw the front fenders on ebay tonight. Might try it!

Im in Tennessee.  Working at gettin a tub right now.  The problem Im having is that everytime I buy a "donor" vehicle, I end up replacing the parts I take off, and building the donor back.  Bad habit I guess.

I DO need a 1.6 8 valve, or 16 I guess, short block to put my head, intake, and carburator from the 1.3 liter on.  I dont need too much for that swap, mainyl the starter, and adaptor plate.

Current set up; new 1.3 head w/cam and header, straight pipe, weber carb, 88.5 5 speed trans, 3.73's, and 29"swampers, will the 1.6 bottom show me any difference?
