I had rebuilt my tranny in my old blknight... I didn't have to cut anything out, or slide the engine forward... if you figure out the proper twist of the trans, it comes right out... after draining the oil that is, you won't make a mess... ne ways, I posted up in here last yr somewhere where to get a cheap rebuild kit.. bearings only, but it was like 69.00 plus shipping, I paid probably close to 85 bucks and it was the cheapest around.. came with every bearing for the inside of the trans, and the front and real main bearings. simple to rebuild, even emailed a guy here a how to video... might still have it in my email outbox, not sure... but it was a simple and fast task... my whining was all of my internal bearings were shot... didn't matter what gear, neutral or not.. lemme know if you can't find the link to the website in my old posts in a search.. and I will see what I can come up with
