Finally found a Sammi
« on: February 07, 2011, 05:45:28 PM »
So after looking for too dang long, I found a Samurai close to me that seems like a solid deal. I bought it off of ebay after talking to the guy who has it several times. It is a 1988 Soft top. Pretty good shape from the pictures. Guy has 475 feedback positive so i felt pretty safe that it will be what he says. 5spd, new tires and wheels. Had 170K Or so miles. 2inch shackle lift with 235/75/15 All terrain tires that are brand new. They are Courser ATs. I had the same tire on my 4runner and for a street tire they were pretty dang good.

So here are the pics. Should have it home tomorrow some time.

Beware of the Jeep thing, it makes it burn when you pee!!!!

Just got her home. She has officially been named "Suzi" Suzuki by my oldest. Glad to have the sammi home but what a long trip. Over 100 miles of it was interstate. Not fun on any day in a sammi but throw in 25 plus MPH wind gusts across the moutains and it was a long drive.

This is one tough little truck though. 170K miles it just putted along with the only issue that I noticed is that the heater really sucks balls on this thing LOL.

The Courser ATS ride nice on the street. I will be looking for a more aggressive tread.

Truck is very solid. Has a couple of rust spots here and there but nothing bad. From what i could tell the frame is very solid. I got teased a lot by the kids for how slow i drove and for looking so huge in the Sammi.

My wife is ready to strangle me as I am already making a list of wanted mods :).

Yea, they tend to not stay stock for long.  :)

Take a look at this page, see if it helps with your heater issues:
