What did Calmini say about the front sag?  I have a tube front bumper and it stayed level with the back.  Ask about their longer front struts.  Maybe if they hear it enough they will develop them

Thanks

I am in the same boat as you, after 3 months of talking with them and hearing all kind of bullshit excuses as to why my front end was sitting almost 2" lower than the rear they finally sent me two new front springs. Well now it only sits 1 1/2" lower in the front, so I'm thinking of using a coil spacer as well. Has anyone done this? If so what else do I have to do besides install the spacer?

I think the spacers are the only option, with mine to the base of the frame is 16" in the back, and in the front is 14", calmini states that the lift maintains the stock vehicle rake, which I would understand accept for the bitchen rigs they advertise in the website and catologue are sitting level, whats the real deal I wonder??

The stock rig does sit a little down at the front from the factory.

my only problem is the coils are too stiff and my shock towers failed, im told the grand vitara or old man emu coils are a direct replacement and much softer :-\

I know a lot of Calmini spring users say it is stiff but somehow I got the opposite.  It does ride a bit stiff but when I need it going over a drop or small whoop in the desert the spring actually binds so the ride is spine jarring if you are a rear passenger.  I would like a stiffer rear and the front is good for working on the drops and whoops

What are you gonna do

they call for minimum backspacing on the wheels , thats why I went with 2 1/2 on mine.
Just out of curiosity... where exactly did you hear/read that they call for "minimum backspacing" on the wheels?

they suggest 2. to 2.5 back spaced wheels in the lift instructions.  I purchased l.5 coil spacers and cut the back of my fenders at the firewalll, f -um!!!

I have been loking into getting a sidekick and I would say 95% of the people that have the calmini kit have 1.25-1.5 inch spacers in the front.  What about going to QA-1 coil over springs from summit racing you have a few sizes and rates to choose from, they use them on samurai coil kits .

The front suspension needs a very high spring rate within a small area. The spring rate is around 500ppi, some aftermarkets are anywhere between 440ppi - 550ppi, and around 12" of unloaded length.

I ran into the same issue with the 3" suspension lift kit, it sagged really bad (93 4door).  I decided to run 1.5" spacers and it is leveled out when I have wheeling gear in the rear.  Calmini doesn't even make different spring rates for 2 door vs. 4 door, and I know their customer service and listening to feedback from actual buyers of their product is severely lacking.  I bought the kit knowing I would have to fix their problems.  That does suck but the options are limited.

thats good to here, I ordered my l.5 spacers but I have not received them yet, I was hoping it was going to work.  I have a 32 inch super swamper on the rear door to provide some rear ballast.  The rear suspension is pretty sweet its just a damn shame the front suspension is lacking.
