Not firing
« on: October 11, 2009, 03:33:10 PM »
Good afternoon zuk folks.  I drove my zuk a couple of days ago, lil hard to start for a while and starting yesterday, it just won't turn over.  Checked for spark, have that, checked various parts in the dist. at instructed by the chiltons manual, all ok, pulled fuel line from pump to carb, lots of fule, shot starter fluid into the carb, no fire, pulled valve cover valves are opening, found a lil water near the cam in the oil.  I know that is not good, but would that be a possible cause for it to just not fire?  Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

Try checking your timing. If your timing belt slipped it will be out of time.

Oh a blown head gasket or cracked head will make you lose compression and allow water into the cylinders and will not let it start.
