Thought I'd share a couple of shots of my final turbo configuration. Going to install once I finish a 2.5" exhaust.

Top photo shows intercooler now mounted directly to intake, therby eliminating all uneccessary charge tubing and clamps, and intake air directly into compressor end of turbo. This setup allows for a MUCH simpler engine compartment, easier maintenence, and generally less crap taking up space. The shortest route for air to travel is the best route. Besides, I think it looks much cleaner, and closer to what I imagined in the first place. Simpler is better, IMHO.

Yeah, I'm one of "those" people, haha. Mudchild, with a handle like that, I imagine you like to play in the mud?  A turbo is certainly great for high rpm tire spinnin!  Maybe I can help you with some build ideas.

Could you post a picture of the inside of the intercooler for me?  Thank's.

Nice!!!

The manifold looks to be made for torque. It should work great. Love the intercooler setup, clean and not bulky at all. I'm also interested on it's specs. Let us know how its set up.

Pic of intercooler internals. Air passes thru the internal tubing, each with a wing like bar to turn the air. The whole thing is water jacketed, and coolant completly surrounds all the tubes. The only part that has to be plumbed to the front of the rig is the one 1/2" coolant hose from the intercooler to the heat exchanger. Really saves on space and convoluted tubing.
The manifold wasn't designed to be for more torque, it just ended up working that way. I really designed it to be compact, and ultra strong. It does seem more mid range biased from earlier testing, and definitly comes on sooner. Both make it much more drivable.

Thank's for posting the picture, now just one more question, what does the heat exchanger look like? I thought the intercooler and the heat exchanger were one and the same? does the inter cooler hook up the the heater core or the radiator? what temp is the water going into the inter cooler ruffly? OK so more than one question.

The heat exchanger is really nothing more than a large transmission oil cooler. It's mounted in front, with a seperate coolant tank supplying the coolant. The tank , aprox 2+gal,  is mounted above the rear axle, and  A 12v pump circulates the coolant at a rate of about 2gpm. A secondary advantage of this system is that when not on boost, which is pretty much most of the time, the coolant can continue to circulate thru both the intercooler and heat exchanger, keeping everything nice and cool.

One more thing, coolant enters the intercooler at or below ambiant air temp.

Cool, Thank's for explaining all that, there is allot more to it Than I thought, I have never seen a system like that, most of the ones that I messed with were the cheap ones from turbocity, It does look impressive.

Thanks all. Mrfuelish, believe me, I tried to do this on the cheap, in the begining anyway. It does add up though. I did make the tank myself, and the manifold. Got the intercooler off ebay, the coolant pump from a pump supply, hose was a bundle of 30ft I got as a lot buy cheap, it's all the other stuff that really adds up fast. But it is pretty cool to play with.
