Who has 5.12's in there auto on 31's>?

I am running 4.62's in my auto on 31x10.5's and its not as bad as some have posted about autos and 4.62's.  I am getting 5.12's to go in soon, and I was just wondering if anyone has this kind of a setup, and how do u like it compared to the stock gearing in a auto..

I am running an auto with 5.12s and 33s. Works ok around town. Not so great at highway speeds. And sucks in the heavy mud. Definitely needs a rock crawler kit.

I, m running 5.12 with auto with 31 and am happy.like Armour says 33 are a little too big for all purpose use.

I am running 5.12s in my 8valve auto with 31s.  The change from 4.62s to 5.12s was the best mod I've done so far, other than the rear locker.  Mine was pitiful on hills with the 4.62s.  Its way better now, but for climbing, I'd still like to add lower tcase gears.  You won't regret making the swap!

I'm also running 5.12's with 31's and auto trans, 16v and it works just fine pretty much anywhere, on road, off road, especially highway. ( Maybe it's the turbo?) I'd eventually like to get transfer case low range gears when funds permit though.

I have 5.12's along with 4.16 gears in the TC with 32" Swampers. But it does OK with the worn out 1.3.  The only thing is my Samurai only came with a 5spd. ;D
