Well Yes and no on a week, The inter cooler
perriscopes over the radiator, lifted is much
easier to route the intercooler lines.
The intercooler also needs new end tanks fabricated
out of .050 aluminum sheeting, so any welding will
have to be with TIG on this part. Also I don't know how
you would route the IC lines, the front of a Kick is pretty
tight.
You can drop the pan with the engine still in the truck, but
you also got to drop the front driveline
, you got to have
a return line ABOVE the oil level or the returning oil will back
up and blow the seals.
Cams are available from Hawks, I had mine re-profiled, made
a big difference. Mine cost $200 to have done, now you can
get them for about $150 without waiting a week to get yours
redone.
you need lots more fuel to feed the monster, about double your
current rate, and the stock Mikuni TBI can't do it, the secondary
EFI computer controls 4 additional injectors that feed only under
boost. My computer is set at 1.5 PSI but you can change that
easily with a computer and the MegaTune Program.
Ya, if you were totally ready and didn't run into any snags,
it could be done in a week, I had to engineer this and it took
me about 4 weeks to get it all together, but I had to source parts
and stuff, if you had a dead TrackKick to mock up on you could
get it all worked out and bolt it onto the running truck in a few days,
It's the custom fabrication that will snag you, not the parts themselvs,
it all depends on your ability and skills, and your local tool and steel
supplier, and if you have to wait for stuff.
