Hi,
The engine oil dipstick for my Sport was broke the top rubber seal from the metal. So I cannot use it again!

I have searched. It was said as following:
- 19 3/16"
- 19.25"

I have heard that SX4 and Ario also use the same dipstick. I really want to know the length from the top rubber seal to the upper level hole in mm or in cm? So that I can figure out the dipstick from other cars.
Any help is appreciated.

It's raining and I'm not inclined to go outside & get wet, and besides I don't have a Sidekick Sport - but what I will tell you is that, based on the parts catalogues, the J18 engine in the Sidekick Sport takes the same dipstick as the early J20 engines (16910-77E02) - there is a 1 digit difference between that dipstick and the ones used on the later J20 engines (16910-77E03).

You should be safe with an Aerio dipstick, provided it's from the 2.0 Aerio, or from any one of the 95~05 Vitaras, Grand Vitaras or Trackers with the J20a engine - I cannot comment on the suitability of the dipstick from a 2.3 Aerio, or the SX4.

My idea is that I will use the dipstick from other cars, rather than Suzuki if I know the exact length from the top rubber seal to the upper level hole because this length is very important. I found the dipstick from the Toyota camry and the top rubber seal really fits the Sport's hole. It is much shorter than the Sport's dipstick but it still has some spaces to mark the upper level hole.

These pictures are the dipstick from a J20a in an SQ420, and as far as I know it is the same dipstick that would be used in the J18a as fitted to a Sidekick Sport.

The J20 is the same as the J18.  I had the same problem when I bought my Sport.  I ordered a new Suzuki dip stick and had them side by side.

Hey buddy - I think we've done all we can - the only thing left is for someone to buy the dipstick and try it.

I have already confirmed (from the parts catalogs) that the Sidekick Sport takes the same dipstick as the Vitara, someone else has said he's had them side by side and compared them.
