I got the new hinges today and put them on.  The odd thing is that the base of the hood now rubs on the plastic piece at the base of the windshield where the water jets are.  I have to push down the hood to clear it.  The edges of the hood don't close flush like they used to.  I am going to look into getting some hood pins.

Darn,  wish I would have known...  I was just at my house yesterday, and I could have given you a set of hinges...   ...nice pink ones...

They came with the hood I bought last year...  When I junk yard, I leave as much attached to the parts I buy as I can get away with.

Unfortunately, I am back in Ohio now, and I can't get to them...

unless your hood is pretty messed up I bet the hood just isn't alighned correctly making it hit the plastic dinger. my friend's cherokee does it since he hasn't put the time into alighning his hood yet. (had to put the one off his totaled comanche on cause he wrecked, odly enough the manche's hood was in perfect condition)

yea, just loosen the bolts that hold it on and try moving it up... it's tricky
