I've seen a 4.3 v-6 installed...plenty of power....breaks poor little Sammy parts right away....plan to change everything if you're thinking of that kind of power ;)
You can run if you want but you'll just die tired!!

A guy I know had a Tracker with a 305...it was fun to drive, but really too much power for the wheelbase/weight/traction.  A stock 4.3L V6 would be an easier fit, and provide more than enough power.

Well I hate to say this but you are not the first to drop a small block cheby into a samurai... There is a company out there that makes kits for this swap. I was looking for the web page but have not found it but have seen it before. They actually stretched the front fenders to make it work.
I also know a guy that has a big block cheby in his sammi... damn thing has balls too.
I'm still looking for the web site and there is also a small block swap kit for the Track/Kick as well...
Bot kits use the small block cheby as well as 700r4 tranny and a NP231 t-case.

I'm working on building a race rig that's most likely going to end up with the 4.3 dana 20 t-case a and a t-18 tcase .but for this season I'm going to just run the puny 1.3.
if I get video of it this summer I'll post it racing?
