2.2L Ecotec swap

Anyone think this is do-able?
I'm bored and tired and was just tossing around ideas and got to thinking what would be a great engine swaps for the trak kick.  The idea was it would have to be something cheap and easy to obtain.  The Ecotecs can be had fairly cheap either used at a junk yard or even new.  It has awesome power And seems to be the engine "de jour" for custom cars these days.  My other thought was the Mazda Miata's 1.8L 4-banger.  Also great power and would probably fit better.  I guess I'm just wondering would either of these fit (realistically) with very little fabbing?

I think the Miata engine would be easiest to mount and fit great...but i have doubts that the stock zuki tranny would line up and fit.  even with something fabbed to adapt it.  And the stock miata tranny i think would be too weak to work the 4wd system of a track kick.

So my favorite choice is the 2.2 ecotec.  It too can be mounted RWD and i think being GM it would better match up to Suzuki hardware.  I guess if i had the money I'd go with the ecotec. Does anyone else have ideas on if the ecotec would work?  Hey, i said was bored, I just figured i thorw this out there for other people that think of cool stuff like this.  Call it "cyber-tinkering"
