Curing Vapor Lock
« on: May 22, 2006, 07:02:10 PM »
I have a 90 Samurai with EFI.  After working with it I found that the starter was siezing.... I thought it was the engine locked up...... I completly reworked the electrical....... including a new starter.....
After a minute or two lock-up again.
I pulled the plugs (but left the plug wires close to the holes NOT A GOOD IDEA)
I turned the key and it ran freely... except for the 4 fire balls flying from under the hood.
So it seems that my Injector is free flowing into the intake.  Is this a simple injector replacement? or a more serious issue?
Any help appriciated.... I can't go without my Zuki for too long.
90 Samurai 4" lift finally installed.  Now it's time for some good tires.

Un plug the inj. and see if fuel still flows out when cranking. If fuel does flow with it unplugged you have a bad inj. If fuel doesn't  flow then You prob. have a shorted ground side in the inj. harness or a bad Ecu.
