I just did a compression check on my '87 Samurai which has over 100,000 miles. #1 was 149, #2 was147, #3 was 145, #4 was 146.
These numbers seem awfully good and surprisingly high. They were done with a lightly warmed engine, all plugs removed at the same time and cranked for a good 5 seconds.
What is the opinion of anybody who knows what they should be.?
