Well, is you 92 2-door an 8-valve, or a 16 valve?

I'll talk about a few different aspects of this:

Ride comfort:

My 95 2-door isn't real comfortable for long rides - even before I had the roll cage installed, it's just a bit cramped.
But it's not much different than my 95 4-door.  The handling is a little different, because of the longer wheelbase, but rider comfort is about the same.  The Sidekick Sport has the frame widened a bit, but actual seat of the pants comfort is only going to be slightly better - even my Grand Vitara isn't THAT much more comfortable.

Power:

You're running an 8-valve, with a whopping 80 HP, so you're gonna love the step up to the 1.8 - what's it got, 120 HP?  50% more power!  Nice!

Off-road "buildability":

If you want to really build the rig, with 3rd party stuff (like the Calmini 6" suspension/body lift), stick with the 92 - it won't work on a Sidekick Sport.

I have a 97 suzuki sport its comfort for long trips is improved in my opinon from the 2 dr. For one it has more room for storage of luggage and god forbid you can even put subs in and still have room. Mine has cruise control which is nice for long rides. Most two doors i have been in has not. The road noise is still there. The power from the 1.8 is awsome is pretty amazing driving a suzuki that will hold 90+ mph even up cayons. Tall people might find they want a little more leg room. But the handling is awsome is has a strut brace stock and is wider. the corning ablity is better then most cars and it turns on a dime.

The only problem with the sport is what most people find problems with is modifaction like lifts. But other then that i found enough mods to make it fun. But i guess the big issues is you want a road vehicle that will be good for road trips and  the light duty off road or a rock crawler.

The long wheelbase is nice for climbing ability. One of the guys in our club has put it Calmini suspension on his widetrack, just needs a couple of mods. Here's a link to someone else who has done it.
