Anything special about putting on the starter

Ok so I put my new clutch in put everything back on and now it sounds like crap when I start it. Is there a trick to setting up the starter correctly??

No, but you might have the ground
on the wrong side, pushing out the
starter a little

Loosen it up and pull it out away from the engine/flywheel and tighten it back up.
