i just did the spring spacer lift on my truck and now the front tires are leaning out at the top. i know i need to get a alignment but don't have the money. The question is can i adjust something to bring the top of the tire back in.  My truck is a 90 tracker 8v 5sp 4x4.

2 ways to do this-
slot the top strut bolt hole or get some camber bolts.
i think the camber bolts are better for the alignment guy (when you do that) and only cost |removethispart|@$30.
i got mine from my local brake supply.
you should be able to set it real close by eye with those- i hit it dead on on one side.
i was more surprised |removethispart|@ the difference in toe after my lift.

Do a search at ack's FAQ (the link is in my signature, below) for the word camber.

There, you will find a number of links to help you fix your camber problem.

Don't even bother with the link to the Tracker FSM section on alignment.  According to GM, if you have camber problems, you have "severely bent something" and only by replacing the "bent" suspension part will you fix the camber problem.

Probably the best link is the video from Specialty Products who manufacture Camber Bolts to solve camber problems caused by lifting or lowering a MacPherson strut IFS suspension. I hope that you have a high speed Internet link for this one!

If you are a dial-up zuker, try one of the other links generated by your search.

I got myself the SPC cam bolts and did mine. Then, worried about chewing up my brand new Wrangler MT's, I took it to be professionally aligned.

I found out two things:

• 1. Tire Discounters (Ohio based) carries the SPC cam bolts!
• 2. Tire Discounters sells them cheaper than I got them off eBay!

Now, Not knowing that they could do the camber kit, I got it and did it myself using the carpenter square method found here:

... and found the I had the camber dialed in perfectly on the passenger side and off by +0.10° on the driver side. pretty good , eh? 

That being said, the toe was wacked. A vehicle with the tow as far out as mine was will eat tires fast.

So ask yourself, which do you want to buy; an alignment, or tires? 

BTW, Tire Discounters gives a warranty on their alignments. So I'm gonna wheel around and take it back in periodically for a checkup!

I went to the parts store and bought a pair of camber bolts for under $20.00, and installed them in the lower bolt hole. I tried to put them in the top hole but did not get enough corection. It still took all the adjustment the bolts offered to get it close. I did a tape measure alignment and have had no problems.

ok thank you guys you all are a big help.  I will get the cam bolts tomorrow.  I love this forum.

You may not have the money at hand but your better off just doing the alignment right off! It will save you in the long run.
