has anybody used these do they stay in the ground alright and do u kno of any cheaper/better ones

Are you talking about Pull-Pals? I have seen them used and they seem to do alright. I don't have or carry one because there is usually plenty of trees or other rigs around I can attach to...

looks a lot easier than burying your spare.
so far i've only hung on rocks, a jack has always worked- so far.

'89 kick w/little motor, still got pieces of jeff's pucks, stan's sticks into 4.24:1 tcase, 31x10.5x15's, rear lockrite, kick power steering, some radios(kj6esv), bmw seat, other changes just because. done on the cheap.

  I dont know, but to me that looks a little flimsy. It should be a little wider at the spade and go in to the dirt a few more inches.  IF in some loose dirt or wet dirt that thing could let go and become a missile.

i was reading the reveiws and some people did say it wasnt made to good when they got it and other said it worked great so i just wantedto see if anyone else has tried one

I was thinking close to the same thing. A lot of the reviews for say that it is really thin metal. Looks like they really designed just for ATV's. Our zuk's are light but, not that light.

seems like 2 steel 30" concrete stakes would take up less space and give you more pulling ability

i have some old fence posts laying around the farm i was thinking aboout using but idk how hard they would be to pound in deep enogh

The guy in the UK that has the chopped up Vitara had a great thread on his web sight about building his own earth anchor.  But sadly it is beyond my google skills I have at the moment.  If nobody beats me to it I'll post it later tonight.  :)

His is a similar style to the pull pall. What bothers me about the one shown is that its not designed to dig in harder as its pulled.
