Jack points rusted off
« on: February 29, 2020, 07:24:27 AM »
My Tracker had plates with a knob or something to hold the jack in place. They are gone. Is there an adapter that I can get, similar to the top of a jackstand to make it stay put on the frame rail?  I am not talking about for repairs but for jacking it out of ruts and the like. I can find a replacement scissors jack with a slight dish on the top nut not much.   What do you do?

Time for some offroad bumpers and a highlift jack, probably a bit safer than using the scissors jack under the vehicle

Ever seen a high lift jack slip sideways?  Ever seen the handle "get away"?  Safe is not a word I would use when describing a high lift jack.
