I tried it out!!!!!!!
It was my first time, so I was pretty excited.

Setting:  At my high school, during lunch.

First, I did the whole 4Lo then unlock the hubs.  Then I went forward 20 feet, then back, and my brakes didn't like me.

Then I punched it and put up a smoke cloud.  My friend stopped me after a few seconds cause the hall monitor guy was walking towards me.  He told me to take it somewhere else.

I did, and smoke cloud, and then another, and another, and another.
This was followed by smoking out the street.

I'm not real sure what the use of this is when offroading though.

2 wheel low, off road, would be great for several situations..

if you like to jump... jumping breaks stuff quick when in 4wd.. :D

if you are locked in the front, it is great to be able to run in low range, unlocked for manueverability

donuts... (JK)

even if you aren't locked in front, manueverabiltiy is better in 2wd... lots of times..

I want true twin stick..   selectable diffs F/R  with 4 wheel steering, and 4 wheel selectable line lock...  active hydraulic suspention with power up/down would be nice too... crap.. I am dreaming again...

I gotta try me some Lo donuts.

Will the twin stick give front wheel drive?  Seems like it'd be nice when something goes out on the back end.

Lol, it seems like Suzuki guys are the only guys that have to jump their rigs.

While the twin stick sounds awesome, I think just the rear disconnect'd be real nice.

Owner's handbook says:
Do not use the vehicle in 4H or 4L with the manual freewheeling hubs in the FREE positionDoesn't say why not though  ???

2wd low is useful if you are on a hard surfcae and want plenty of drive for uphill/engine braking for downhill and can't use 4wd due to transmission windup.

I WAS going to untill I moved to Florida. Now I'm working 60-80 hrs a week, have no shop, and live in an area that it is actually illegal to work on your rig in the driveway (damn snooty rich people >:( ) I did have the guys that put my transmission in, install the shifters while they had it out. BUT they did not take the ball out that allows them to work seperately   ::) .

I am attempting to find somewhere that will let me rent space to do work on the ride. The "storage buildings" said they wont let you store vehicles and work on them in their units  :(

Sorry,

[Doesn't say why not though]

Back in the dark ages, when I was starting 4-wheeling, someone told me not to run in 4 low with the front hubs disengaged because it was possible to overstress the rear drivetrain if you got on it too hard.  That makes sense to me.  Doesn't explain why it would be a problem in 4 high, tho.
