Calmini 3" suspension and anti-sway bar - Solved
« on: November 20, 2005, 02:07:03 PM »
I need to put the anti-sway bar back on and the Calmini control arms don't have holes for the it to bolt to. Is there anything in the instructions that tells you what to do to fit it? Measurements to drill the holes, template, pics, something? I need to do this ASAP.

I'm rather surprised, all the Calmini kits I have seen have had the holes. I will see if I can get a pic or two tomorrow. have you looked at the pics on Calmini's website?

I've got holes but they don't line up. I checked the sway bar of my lwb against my swb and they are the same but the holes in the Calmini arms are just not in the right place for it to fit. Figured I'll have to drill some new holes but it's always better if there is a guide.

flip the mount around, and it will bolt right up. the part theat connected to the sway bar, flip it around to the other side.

i had my vitara engineered without a sway bar, both on a vitara and a sierra/samurai.

The stock sway bar wouldn't reach those arms anyway, would it?

I know my stock sway bar worked fine with my Calmini A-Arms, right up until the time I finally ripped it off, and gave it away.

I haven't tried the swaybar with the Calmini kit. I took mine off when I had the standard A arms as I found that it fouled on the steering linkage on full drop.

You get more down travel, but you'll get more body roll on and off-road.
