« on: January 19, 2009, 09:09:30 AM »
Don't know what else to look for, Timing right on , new belt, gettin gas and spark, new computer, plugs, wires, cap, good compression. Cranks over really good.

Ran great then one day it started losing power, would hardly pull itself out of it's own way, then just quit running, haven't been able to get it to start since.Help! any info you may have I may need!
Thanks Ahead!

Make sure you have a strong enough battery! Mine wouldn't start once and it was the battery was low! Hooked it up to the charger and it fired up!

I've run across this problem many times over the years. Check the inside of the timing gear and end of the crankshaft where the keyway is. If there is any slop or wear on either the gear, key, or keyway then it means you need to repair/replace accordingly. there is no "quick fix". If the crank is good you can just buy a new gear and key from the dealer. It's less than $50 for both. If you need it, I can get you the correct part numbers for your truck.

throttle position sensor, crank sensor, cam sensor

did u replace the battery after it died? it could of been the alternator. and dont trust 12 volts at the battery get it tested at autozone for amps
