Whats it called ? the thin rod that hooks from track to track under seat

Well i just ought this 97 side kick & ofcourse finding little suprises i didnt think to check to begin with..

As the topic says im not sure what to call it..,
its the thin rod that goes from right track to the left track that allows both track locks to release to move the seat forward & backwards wehn the lever is pulled upward

Any one no what its called a p[art number or may even have one...and info would be gladly taken

I have fixed two of my seats that have that rod broken with coat hangers. twist um tight they work for me

Thats a good idea, but i was just hoping to get an oem part, but will try that if push comes to shove..

i went to the hardware store and got a 1/4" rod for a few bucks . made my own . eliminating the plastic ends.  all you need is a vise and a hammer.  then drill and cotter-pin the ends.  a whole lot stronger than stock.  cost me less than ten bucks and took less than an hour.

  I love that type of ingenuity.I don't buy anything I can build,and I bet a dollar his idea is stronger than stock.

If nothing else just give Hawk Suzuki a call.  You can get just about any piece from a Suzuki from them with nothing more then the description of "The thingy that attaches to the other thingy on the thingy"  :P

Seat track slide lock mechanism alternate side actuating pull wire?

Actully i found one suzukicarparts.com they had to order from a warehouse but only $5 plus shipping...

Dont shoot me though....I forgot what they called it over the phone lol

I called back just to find out the name of the part again...Drum Roll.........................................

Its called a "Front seat wire" ...lol for real thats what they have the part as in the computer....

You should have gone with the coat hanger fix. you could have added (custom front seat wire) to your list of modifications.
