For Sale:1987 Suzuki SamuraiI am located in Pleasant Grove, Utah and would like to sell my Samurai locally. It's in good condition overall and it's mostly stock with a few upgrades. We've had it for about 8 years and have taken very good care of it. The only possible issues are some bearing noise from the transmission and it's burning a little oil. The transmission shifts well and is very tight but you can hear the bearings starting to whine. The Samurai will still do 70-75 mph on the freeway and is getting around 23 MPG. It does have some rust on the corners of the body and some under the fender flares but the pan and floorboards are in great shape.
The back seat is in very good condition with a couple of very small tears. It still has the ashtray! We put a new soft top on it about 2 years ago which is still in good shape. We cut the old top down and kept it as a safari top which we'll include with the Samurai. It has a 4-speaker stereo installed in it which stays with the Samurai as well.
We have installed the following upgrades:
- JX instrument cluster so it has a tachometer dashboard
- Underdrive pulley for a little bit more horsepower
- Straight tailpipe for a throatier sound and a little more horsepower
- Diamond plate cupholders
I am asking $1900 OBO for it and would like to sell locally. On a side note, I also have an '86 JX Samurai that has been rolled that I have taken the radiator, instrument cluster and transfer case out of. It still has a lot of good parts on it and I would like to sell it all at once without having to sell it piece-by-piece if anyone is interested. I'm taking offers on the whole thing.
Message me if you're interested and thanks for reading! -Matt-
