How Do You Remove? Passenger side CV Half Shalf 01 Tracker
« on: September 29, 2011, 10:03:02 AM »
I have to replace my passenger side CV Driveshaft or Half Shaft, I can remove the hub retaining clip and understand the inboard joint is the same, do I have to open transfer case???  I hate those retaining clips.

The pass side should pop right out, it is only held in with a hog ring.

If it won't come out with a pry bar or a big screw driver, the inside clip
"hog ring" might be too far expanded and be stuck, you can remove the
CV only and put the new one into the old cup.

I had to beat the living crap out of a 26 spline long side to get it out, finally
the ring broke in half and let the shaft come out, but I got a set of GV shafts
for my kick
