vitara 1.6jlx revamp
« on: August 20, 2015, 08:06:42 AM »
Hi,

Some months ago I decided to recover my old Vitara.
I had blow up the engine and the car stayed parked in the same place for 2 years.
One day i wake up and realise i had to do something with it. so....

sorry for the domain name, just one i had parked around, is not spam!

The project is half the way now, tyres will be 30x9.5x15 i still have to decided what tyres to put on the car.
dismantled to the bones, every piece revisioned and up to date.
Will be like out of the factory.
the car is lifted in total 10cms (suspension + body lift)
still a lot to do on it!

Any comments or improvements are welcome.

The BFGs are a good tyre and last well.

They say "A picture is worth a thousand words", your slides would get real close to the thousand words.  Good job.  I have to admire the work you have done, it is a real accomplishment.  And yes it does need some bigger tires under it.  Like beagle..t, I rode on 30x9.5x15's for years, and thought the power was still acceptable.  I tried 31's and power useage was very noticeable from the 30's.
Looking forward to the rest of your build.
