I'm trying to build a set of skid plates, my biggest problem is getting mud into the bell housing, it's causing my clutch not to fully engauge. have to spray it out with water (P.I.A.)
I'm going to the local surplus store to find some alum. or metal sheeting today, lets see if I can get this one done and still be under budget.

You may want to use steel, instead of aluminum.  Aluminum is lighter, but it has a tendency to stick to rocks.  In fact, they use aluminum for the grips in some wading boots.  I found out about this when I had an aluminum drift boat and had to keep a coating (Gluvit) on it to keep it from hanging up on the rocks.

Of course, you could use Aluminum and coat it with Gluvit, but I would be a lot cheaper to just use steel.

you could make your own coil spacers to get 1-2'' lift depending on how big you make the spacers. Just find some polyurethane and cut 4 "donuts" out. you can get the stuff at Mcmaster Carr on line.
Zuki addict. I have five zuks right now and not even thinking about stopping.
